Participants in the current SeniorsConnect Pilots Workshop at St. Cecilia’s House have ample opportunity to:

bulletstrengthen our self-esteem and ties with one another
bulletdiscover common ground
bulletcelebrate ourselves individually
bulletsupport ourselves and each other intelligently
bulletdiscard old fears
bulletthink our own thoughts
bulletbe our powerful selves
bulletform committed teams for mutual support and community service

Meeting for two hours once a month for 8 months, Pilots participants learn and practice new skills in listening, speaking, appreciating ourselves, and building satisfying relationships. As part of each session, they enjoy intervals of gentle physical activity as well as episodes of play and other creative activities. Each session also includes opportunities for expressing special interests and concerns that we have as individuals.

Each session has a unifying theme, such as: celebrating my age, physical abilities, ethnicity, work history, gender, religious and/or non-religious background; uniting to end racism; repairing the world together.
